Thanks for your interest in the ARS News Service, which the ARS Information Staff began operating in November 1996. On each business day except federal holidays, the service distributes research news releases and story leads intended for farm, science and other journalists. To subscribe is easy:

1. Address an e-mail message to majordomo@ars-grin.gov.
2. Leave the subject line blank.
3. As the text of the message, type exactly this: subscribe ars-news
4. After you successfully subscribe, the majordomo will send you a confirmation by return e-mail. You will begin receiving the stories the next business day.
